2015 Spring Fishing Edition
Spring is finally here! Water temperatures and angling action heat up all over the Sunshine State this month, prompting fishermen to head to their favorite freshwater and saltwater spots.
In our annual “Spring Fishing Edition” this month, we provide some important new fishing rules, several fantastic informational articles to help you get ready to hit the water, and a listing of upcoming tournaments.
You can find complete fresh and saltwater fishing regulations, current state records, a listing of all of Florida’s artificial wrecks and reefs, the top fishing hot spots for bass, bream and crappie and numerous other articles on our website at www.woodsnwater.net.
Florida is the “Fishing Capital of the World” and has a huge variety of species to choose from – from the largemouth bass, bream, crappie and catfish populating nearly all our 7,700 named lakes and ponds to the ever-popular redfish and trout in our coastal inshore areas, as well as red snapper, grouper, sailfish, tarpon, wahoo and other popular sport fish located offshore.
More International Game Fish Association (IGFA) records have been set here in Florida than anywhere else, and more anglers fish our waters than anywhere else in the nation. In this issue you can get tips on where and how to fish and find a bait/tackle store in your area, as well as many knowledgeable guides to introduce you to the wonderful fishing opportunities in their home waters.
Regardless of your preference, you will want to keep this issue handy all year as you pursue your trophy catch. When you land your big one, send us a photo so we can include you in a future edition. Email digital photos to firstname.lastname@example.org. Good luck and good fishing!
