Contrary to popular belief, trophy whitetail deer
are harvested in Florida each year. Woods 'n Water's Florida Buck-of-the-Year
contest awards hunters for the best trophy deer taken each year.
Congratulations to all winners! Woods 'n Water appreciates the contributions
of Tom Wright and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission
(FWC) who maintain the Florida Buck Registry, which is used to decide
contest winners each year. To enter the Woods 'n Water Buck-of-the-Year
Contest and have your buck scored, contact the nearest FWC office.
