About

Established in 1978, Woods ‘n Water Magazine has become the largest outdoor publication in Florida, thanks to our readers and advertisers. Sometimes referred to as “The Bible” by outdoor enthusiasts, Woods ‘n Water is the only major fishing and hunting publication that provides its readers with timely news and information about fishing and hunting in Florida, as well as South Georgia, and South Alabama.

Each monthly issue features hundreds of photos of everyday sportsmen and women with their deer, turkey, hogs and fish as well as interesting stories and informative articles, many written by those same everyday hunters and fishermen.

Useful and accurate inshore and offshore fishing reports, written by Florida fishing guides and charter captains, are a regular feature. Each month, these fishing pros share their “Best Bets” on when, where and how to catch fish in their respective areas. Fresh water fishing information is also a big part of every issue.

Florida Tide Tables for all of your favorite fishing areas and the most accurate Feed Times to be found anywhere are included in each issue.

Other favorite features include “Our Readers Write,” which gives our readers an opportunity to share their opinions, concerns, grievances or ideas with other sportsmen, and the “Outdoor Calendar,” which lists upcoming outdoor events. News and information about fresh and saltwater fishing tournaments is another popular feature.

Woods ‘n Water’s huge “Tradin’ Post” section is absolutely unequaled when it comes to real estate listings. Whether you’re looking for a hunting tract to lease or buy, waterfront property, great real estate investments, a home, a home away from home or a hunt club to join, you’ll always find a world of possibilities in the “Tradin’ Post.”

Woods ‘n Water’s primary focus is, and always has been, to showcase outdoor enthusiasts with their fish and game, to be the voice of average, everyday sportsmen and women and to keep them informed about proposals from state, federal and local agencies that could affect their favorite outdoor pursuits.

Occasionally, something urgent that our readers need to know about comes up right after we have sent the next issue of Woods ‘n Water to press. When that happens, we will post the information on our Web site as soon as possible, so be sure to check our site on a regular basis so you don’t miss out on important issues that could affect your fishing or hunting.

At a time when many print publications are on the decline, Woods ‘n Water continues to grow in every aspect — more pages, more advertisers, and more readers than ever before. And, with a targeted readership of approximately 68,000 avid outdoors enthusiasts each month, Woods ‘n Water has proven to be a red-hot advertising medium.
