Free hunter safety course offered in Palm Beach County
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is offering a free hunter safety course in Palm Beach County on March 21 and 22, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will be at Everglades Youth Conservation Camp, J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area, 12100 Seminole Pratt Whitney Road, West Palm Beach. GPS will NOT work.
An adult must accompany children under the age of 16 at all times. Students should bring a pencil and paper with them to take notes.
Anyone born on or after June 1, 1975, must pass an approved hunter safety course and have a hunting license to hunt alone (unsupervised). The FWC course satisfies hunter-safety training requirements for all other states and Canadian provinces.

Free bowhunting education course offered in Palm Beach County
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) is offering a free bowhunting education course in Palm Beach County on March 21 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Gator Guns & Archery Center, 2154 Zip Code Place, #7, West Palm Beach.
Students will learn about safe and responsible tree stand usage, big game shot placement and recovery. The course will provide students with hands-on experience shooting a bow and arrow on the range. Students are encouraged to bring their own equipment.
