FWC reopens all internal roads at Corbett WMA

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) has reopened the remaining section of closed roads within the J.W. Corbett Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Palm Beach County. Effective immediately, vehicles are permitted on the South Grade from Tomato Field Grade south to N Camp.
The roads were closed at the end of August because of hazardous conditions and road damage caused by widespread flooding from Tropical Storm Isaac.
The FWC continues to reroute access to the south entrance of Corbett WMA. The public can access the WMA from 120th Street North/Halptiokee Road. This road runs along the C-18 Canal, with entry via the Bee Line Highway/710. The entrance road has been temporarily rerouted to allow public access to the WMA while a section of Seminole Pratt-Whitney Road from 100th Lane North to the south entrance of Corbett is closed. People using the temporary entrance should not park their vehicles on private lands. They should park within the boundaries of the WMA.
For updated closure and reopening information, visit MyFWC.com/DisasterPlan and click on “Open/Closed Status of FWC Offices and FWC-managed Areas.” If you have additional questions, please call the FWC’s South Regional Office at 561-625-5122.
