KILLIN ‘N GRILLIN: Wild Turkey Salad
When you make this delicious salad with garden-fresh ingredients, nobody can say no to its healthy deliciousness!
- 4 cups fresh spinach (torn)
- 2 cups romaine lettuce (torn)
- 2 cups turkey (cooked and cubed)
- Red onion slices
- 1/2 cup green pepper (chopped)
- 1/2 cup mandarin oranges
- 1/2 cup celery (chopped)
- 1/2 cup pineapple
- 1/3 cup vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup wild berry sauce
- 2 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1-1/2 teaspoon honey
- 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/4 cup toasted flaked coconut
In a large bowl mix spinach, lettuce and turkey. Add the next six ingredients into the bowl and toss. In another small bowl, mix the syrup, vinegar, honey and celery seed. Mix this dressing well and pour over your salad, toss lightly and top it with flaked coconut.
