SB-296 Guns During Mandatory Evacuation by Senator Jeff Brandes (R-St. Petersburg) is scheduled to be heard in the Senate Military & Veterans Affairs Committee on Tuesday, March 25, 2014, at 2:00pm.
SB-296 By Sen. Brandes is a bill to protect citizens from being charged with a crime and having their guns confiscated for carrying a weapon or firearm during a mandatory evacuation ordered by the Governor during a declared state of emergency.
When you’re ordered to take your family, and leave your home and belongings behind, you should not be deprived of the right to take your firearms with you to protect yourself and your family. This bill is especially important for law-abiding people because our state is prone to evacuations due to hurricanes.
THIS IS CRITICAL!!!! PLEASE ACT NOW
